Spectrograph audit

Roomtone

Looks for cuts, closed-up deletions, digital silence, and pasted audio. The file stays in this browser.

Drop a recording. See where the sound was cut.

Roomtone draws the spectrogram and flags places a take stops agreeing with itself: a splice, a mute made of pure zeros, a channel that splits, a passage pasted twice.

WAV, MP3, Ogg, FLAC. Nothing is uploaded.

  1. 01

    Closed gap

Sound removed and the ends pulled together. Pitch and spectrum stop connecting.

  2. 02

    Digital silence

A stretch of exact zeros. A live microphone keeps room tone. Editors write silence.

  3. 03

    Paste, hum, channels

A copied phrase, mains hum that switches, or one stereo channel that stops matching the other.

Candidates, not a verdict. Nothing here proves a recording is authentic or altered. Best on speech and unprocessed WAV. Dense music, long crossfades, and lossy compression hide cuts that a person can still hear.
